Dear Poulsbo Elementary Families,

Happy New Year!

I hope you all enjoyed the time at winter break with family and friends. It’s been fun hearing the stories from students about their time over break, including travel, gatherings and about 100 lost teeth. Now it’s time to get moving into a new decade that will be filled with new opportunities, challenges and celebrations. Heading into 2020 our school and district will continue with initial implementation of the new Strategic Plan. As always, my door is always open for any questions you have.

Thank you for your support and partnership!

Drew Crandall, Principal

Inclement Weather

We have some snowflakes on the weather forecast! We want you to be prepared for changes in school schedules due to snow, poor road conditions and wind storms.

Visit our
Emergency Information - Closures, Delays and Early Dismissals page for all the latest information. We will do our best to activate our communication by 5:45 am when schools will be affected by winter weather.

A few things to remember:

  • No News is Good News! - We will not send official notification out when schools run on a normal schedule.
  • Local news and radio stations will have school delays and closures from across the state listed. Visit Flashalert to access and sign up for emergency messages.
  • Our websites will have an alert posted.
  • Parents/Guardians - You will receive an email and a phone call to the contact information you have listed in Skyward. Make sure we have the correct contacts!
  • Social Media - We will post schedule changes to our social media accounts.
  • Text Messaging - Sign up for text messaging!

Snow routes have been updated, so be sure to print your route out now! Download the Here Comes the Bus app for the latest information on your student's bus.

Week of Kindness

Something exciting is happening during the last week of January! We will be joining schools across the nation in The Great Kindness Challenge. This week is devoted to performing acts of kindness on campus; showing peers, staff, and the community that KINDNESS MATTERS. Students will be invited to complete a kindness checklist, have fun with spirit wear ideas, and other exciting in-school activities. Stay tuned for more information.
